Car continues to chill most of the winter. Recently took it down for a wash at the shop and added some new track stickers. Im going to be hitting up SRP for a drift day soon though which will be fun.

Last Sunday tackled two fun projects.
Ohlins road and track V2 install and new garage lighting. 1. Redo lighting in my garage with LEDs. Mad a huge difference. Could work in the garage with the door closed now. Before and after: Next up on list was install my Ohlins Road and Track V2 coilovers. Step 1 was measure all ride height stock. I measured ground to fender height. Which was following: FR: 26" FL: 26" RR: 26.5" RL: 26.5" After install and one round of adjustments I landed on 15 clicks soft for the street and the following ride hides: FR: 25.25" FL: 25.25" RR: 25.875" RL: 25.875" My goal is after settling in to rise up front and rear to be a 0.5" less then stock height. Waiting to do more driving to do initial write up of the coilover system. I will say at 15 clicks soft no change in ride quality compared to OEM setup. Excited to try some adjustments on the track. Ive noticed I may need some spacers now as well for my winter wheels. Installed photos: Car showing new ride heights: |

By v2 do you mean the solfter Olhins that released last year or the mi20's?
Any issues pairing them with the versus/velox camber plates?

I decided to email Ohlins USA with my part number to see which version it is. They work great with the Versus/Velox OEM tophat camber plates. Edit from the future: These Verus camber plates didn't end up being compatible with the top spring perch this resulted in additional noise and damage to the topmount and the top spring perch. Your feedbacks are much awaited regarding the coilovers, at different settings. Cruising and spirited driving. I hear some like to leak too.
Hope yours fare well. |

OhlinsUSA still hasn't responded but looking at the part number on the springs and pictures online of the coilovers. I am 90% its the V2 setup. Did a final round of adjustment car is now:
FR: 25.75" FL: 25.75" RR: 26.25" RL: 26.25" which is 0.25" lower than stock all around. Photo: Impressions continue to be good. Rides well in the street environment. I do notice some new spring noises on certain articulations. Not sure if thats expected. I went ahead and greased up where the spring meets the tophat/bottom hat. Lets see if that helps out. Update:
I was talking about this spring noise I was hearing with the coilover post install. Well turns out parts I thought compatible where not. During alignment the shop noticed damage to the top spring perch and top mount. Which was a real bummer as I had to cancel my two track days and find a new topmount. damage: The spring noise I was hearing was related to this damage. Now with the new topmount(vorshlag) I don't have any noises! Signed up to hit the ridge this Friday and got the car aligned its all ready to go! Excited to try the Ohlins on the track still. They are riding better with a compatible topmount as well. |

All Verus plates hit like that. I haven't had an issue with it.
