Short weekend with NASA NE at Palmer Motorsports Park for me. Lost some coolant from heat and didn't want to risk it in even hotter temps the next two days. No damage done, temps were perfect on the way home. New 2015 engine was delivered to Outfront Motorsports (thanks @Zer0!), should have it installed within 2 months.

Ambient 95F and water temp got up to 240F as I was getting back in. I noticed raising temps on the P3 gauge and some coolant spray on the windshield through the hood louvers. I let everything cool down, then added coolant and everything was fine on my ride home. Didn't want to risk pushing more on track before driving longer distance to see that everything was ok...and it was.

Try distilled water and water wetter.

I will do that, thanks. Next steps also lead to a custom fan shroud with some powerful fans...looking for guidance from @CSG Mike

New 949racing rims 17x9 +40, one of two charcoal sets, this one with new 235/40-17 Toyo Proxes RA1 rubber.

Likely 2-3 weeks until the new built engine arrives from Outfront Motorsports and is installed by EFI Logics, also ACE header/catless fp, Jackson Racing high boost pulley, ACT clutch and some other bits. Should all be in time to break everything in for mid-October 3-day fun at NJMP Thunderbolt with NASA NE

Wow! You are SO much faster than me down the straights. Do you have anything other than a header/tune that accounts for your straight line speed?

* BTW, check your other thread about the Proxes RR for sale.

dp1 has a Jackson Racing supercharger.

But he's also really fast.

Thanks. Somehow I totally missed that when quickly skimming over his build thread.

You are much better at driving your car near the limit - really enjoyed your video and sure you would enjoy added power with JRSC, consider it

Thanks for sharing!

Toyo RRs are waiting for you if you are still interested, let me know. I made a decision this year to stick with 100 UTQG rubber (Toyo Proxes RA1 and Nitto NT01) until I learn to drive at the limit in _every_ corner

Well, thanks but I'm not sure about that. I don't do that many events with SCDA; in retrospect I probably should have asked to join the red group but I was only there for one day and wasn't sure I was ready. I was up at WGI with JoeyG/Provoledo in May--open lapping event and those guys were total animals--even the spec Miata guys were leaving me for dead--they were running laps in the 2:15s. That was really an eye opener. No point bys either so I had one eye permenantly fixed to the mirror. LOL

Sent you a PM about the tires. I'll take 'me. How are the Proxes RR? Big step up from the RA1? I'm running RA1 this season myself and was on Dunlop Starspecs last season. Still a bit of a learning curve.

dp1 street legal track build (NY)

Outfront Motorsports is done and the built engine is on its way to EFI Logics

Sincere thanks to @CSG Mike for help with design advice and validation and for getting some parts that "don't exist" and to @DeliciousTuning for recommending that I look into Outfront Motorsports as an option.

I will create a more complete list later, for now, pictures show WPC treatment, ceramic coating, non-standard parts, +1 exhaust valves...
