@Racecomp Engineering how much less travel do the ohlins have compared to say, kwv3? In your opinion, is the amount limiting for serious tracking?

Approx. 20k miles, and about 30 track events.

Any "before" dyno to compare this to?

Unfortunately no.

I should add that both rear shocks are identical in terms of adjustment vs actual shock performance. One front shock is slightly off vs the other, requiring 2 more clicks to match performance of the other.

Some of the minor bump variation you see on the chart is most likely from some oil that is contaminated. Performance overall is still great, though.

I recieved an MP20 kit. Which I sent back and got a refund. Apparently it is discontinued.

Perhaps not for the USA, but cirtainly we cant get them in the UK.

Thankfully I managed to get a kit from a chap who had never used or installed them on his car. He was told this was the last kit in stock.....

That seems like a big mistake. I know a few people that want the MI20 kit, but nobody wants the MP20 kit...

I'm sure if people keep asking for the old kit and refuse to buy the new setup with springs softer than your typical lowering springs, they'll reconsider.

So I was reading the instructions for my MI20 kit today and I didn't see any mention of using thread lock on the front lock nut? The rear nut is a nylock so thats fine.

FWIW I didn't use any threadlock on mine. I put the fronts on today, set at Ohlins' factory height and they dropped a LOT lower than I expected, a bit over an inch lower. I'm waiting for the Eibach springs to install the rears (and I blew a few hours messing with one of the factory end links, destroying it in the process) but they should be here tomorrow.

First impressions just from installing the fronts and with no front sway bar... Very OEM like ride quality. They do make a "woosh" noise over bigger bumps (like speed bumps) which was unexpected. Nothing bad to report, super easy install too.

edit: Linking to the post I made about today... Factory end links are horrible, for the record. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...ostcount=13327
