Auto Light Feature, Maybe

I'm starting the DIY with the intent of getting information to complete this in the near future. I've already gotten most of the details, just want to see if anyone can assist with the final pieces. Once I get everything I will do a complete DIY, but for now, here's where I am.

Things you will need:

- Stalk with Auto switch (BRZ, EDM, JDM)
- 20 ga wiring for 3 wires (appr. 4 ft ea)
- 20 ga ECU pins (not sure which ones exactly, need to investigate, possibly here: http://www.tweakdperformance.com/onl...ort=20a&page=4)
- Auto sensor ($85 at www.subarupartsforyou.com)
- Auto sensor mount/socket (still trying to get answer on this)

From my research the logic is in the MB ECU, just not the wiring. Pins 13, 14 & 15 on MB ECU plug 3C are the ones that go to the auto sensor, pins 6, 4 & 3 respectively.

Well, I did a little looking and there are 3 wires already plugged into 3C pins 13, 14 & 15. I'm not sure where they go and they're not the same colors listed above. Maybe the FRS and BRZ are wired more differently than previously thought?

Pin 13 3C on a BRZ feeds power to the Halo/parking lights. Right-hand one.

Well, I'm a retard! After looking through the schematics for a while I just realized the wires don't go to plug 3C, but D6! It's dark now so I'll have to track it down tomorrow. I'll update the original post with pics and corrections then.

OK, so I couldn't wait. Here's a pic of the correct plug (D6, pins 13, 14 & 15). Pin 15 is just above the blue wire, and pins 14 & 13 are above it. There obviously aren't any wires in the slots, so the next step is the find the correct pins to fit in the slots.

Today I disassembled the connector to take a look at the pins. Here's a pic of one of the puns from the connector. Anybody know a good place to order them?

Using my installer background, I have used a DEI NiteLite system a few times, loooong ago. Could probably still work just fine tied into our system, possibly without even using the high-current relays, but tied to the BRZ stalk. If one of you overly ambitious people beats me to it, I'll post up the info when I get around to trying....when I decide to do fogs..

I appreciate it guys! That is my second option, but I want to see the feasability of getting the OEM system working.

A word of caution for the DEI module. At least when talking about using it to make the windows go up and down with the keyfob, a dealer advised against it and Autowindow creator @scottmcphee agrees it can probably fry your car, at least if used for this particular function.
