Do you think it was related to this recall?

I supposed the brake fluid change is part of the recalled because that's what I brought my car in for.

I had the ecu recall done earlier. Like some of you guys my throttle was a bit sluggish at first then after a few miles everything went to normal.

I also agree. I find it strange for a modern car to take this long to get to normal opp. temp.

Maybe we don't pass an OBD II with one cat if we change our exhaust system.
The ecm reflash is for smog purposes only. It does not alter performance

Yeah, I had the reflash done and oddly my teeth are whiter now. Related? I'm not so sure.

Just had my car reflashed.
How can I visually confirm that it was really reflashed?

Visually? No way to tell. You'll need some ECU diagnostic tools hooked up to your car's OBD2 interface to check the ECU version, I imagine.

For those with the FRS, here is the quote from the letter I received:

" On certain early 2013 Model Year Scion FR-S vehicles, the On Board Diagnostics II (OBD-II) System may need to be updated to meet the regulations set forth by the Calif-ornia Air Resources Board (CARB). An update for the Engine Control Module (EVM) to improve the monitoring parameters within the OBD-II system is now available. The correction ensures that the 'Check Engine Light' will illuminate should an abnormal condition develop (such as the engine coolant not reaching or maintaining the proper operating temperature)."

"Any authorized Scion or Toyota dealer will inspect the calibration of the ECM and if necessary update the ECM at no charge to you. This Special Service Campaign is offered to vehicles currently registered in the following 12 states that have adopted the California Emission Standards: CA, CT, MA, MD, ME NJ, NY, OR, PA, RI, VT and WA."

Mine too...I can drive 10 mins to work and it is still not at normal temp according to the dash temp gauge, but the odd thing is the heat from the heater is hot. Can't figure that one out.

Anyone in LA get the GPS fix? If so, which dealership? The dealership I went to in Sacramento wasn't able to do it because they said they didn't have the bracket or whatever.
