Wondering if anyone dipped the polished spokes and left the black spokes alone. Taping up all the non-polished areas seems like it'll be quite challenging...

Yea I was thinking about doing that as well. Masking off the non-polished areas would take up a bit of time. I have to plastidip my track wheels soon, so I guess I can give it a try on the stocks while they are off.

Why put warmth into the metal?

And when you peel the masking stuff off, do you use a razor to cut along the border? or when you peel it does the plastidip just cut itself off cleanly

Looking at te pictures where the masking cards/paper is still on it looks like the plastidip doesn't form a continuous layer from wheel to mask, is that difficult to achieve or just naturally how it settles?

EDIT: Also, would taking a clay bar to the wheels make any sense? Would impurities embed themselves in the painted sections of the rim just like they do in the body of the car?

Take your masking off before the plastidip fully cures
