Where did u guys fish the harness across to reach both fogs? I don't really feel comfortable having the harness exposed to the weather and in front of the rad (just behind the front bumper grill)...
thats what i did lil 6 months ago, still no issues. the wires are all protected so ill b fine. the only issue i've had is the inline fuse holder melted, but that was from engine heat

Finished, sort of...

So I got my foglights installed and I think they look great so thanks Nigel JDM

But they only worked for around 2 days and now I can't figure out what went bad... Did I mess up my wireing?

The switches positive tap:

The switches negative tap:

The harness's positive tap (on battery near top of pic) and negative tap (on fuse box bolt)

I think my relay may be blown, but I replaced it and when I flipped the switch I think I heard some sort of electrical zap type noise but the lights still don't work. I also didn't have the signal wire from the interior properly insulated in one spot and it may have grounded out. Could that cause the relay to blow?

Thanks for the help ahead of time...

so i linked your post with your issue to a friend who knows much more about this stuff than i do and this is what he told me to tell you:

firstly he made this which is i'm guessing how we (he) wired mine up:

this is prob handy for anyone else still looking to diy these fogs

then he said this (copied and pasted from google hangouts):
Quote:
so yea just ask the guy if the green light goes on
if the green light goes on ask if the relay clicks
if the relay clicks then check the fuse
tell him use a meter and set it on ohms
make sure it reads shorted
if the fuse is good
replace the relay
if the relay blows, then something is shorted somewhere
and by somewhere.. i mean on the wiring side where the fuse connects to the relay or the lights connect to the relay
the side with the coil is isolated from the side with the lights
and i dunno why but
it looks like his fuse has a red going in
and a black going out
yours has 2 reds
other recommendation would be move the ground off the plastic
its not a good ground point
hope it helps. good luck!

So even our option 1 Fog Light Kit will be exactly the same as the Scion Fog Light Kit.

Thanks for the link!

We can now put this info for our customer, if they want to save some money and go with the button option.

Thank you
