Beats me. But if I end up buying an 86 at some point in time that's the color that I'll be putting on it for sure.

It's actually Mercedes-Benz Yellowstone. From the first generation SLK.

Not to turn your thread into a giant Audi-fest, but I love this video, and yours just reminded me of it! It's Ezra Dyer who writes for the NY Times and Automobile:

That R8 was a beast at first, everyone was so gunned up about the widest snow tires.

Those winters on the east call for all wheel drive. In north texas. Mehhhh

You can take better advantage of all-wheel-drive on dry Texas roads than you can on snow-covered ones. All cars suck in the snow. Not all cars are truly great in the dry. It's all about how much grip the all-wheel-drive gives you.

Exactly my issue. AWD gives you all the safety grip you need. No doubt the all wheel drive system has progressed to a fun and absolute joy on most roads. The kicker is just the fun factor. On a 100 degree sunny day that all wheel drive is just merely for safety reasons. Is AWD better performing on most roads? SURE IS, but its not going to be as fun. Now an R8GT thats fun.

Its nice to turn the steering wheel without feeling the "understeer push out dance" .

Its hot today how is it up in your neck of the woods

Cold, rainy and miserable. I'd swear I've been transported to Seattle, WA.

I'm getting RWD for the same reason - HOONING! Can't hoon nearly as much in the Audi; just point and shoot, and get there really fast. I'm just making the point that most people think AWD is only good for snow.

Yea I hate that. People always think its good for snow. In fact it's a yes and no snow tires on a proper front wheel drive will get you a lot of places. Funny thing is I got it for the all around factor. Dirt roads, broken roads, driving to Colorado "those mountain roads ". Perfect road trip car. Got us out of a slip spot on the way to new Orleans without having to get out and push. That's one of my only complaints. The gas tank on the frs is small. This is not a 2+ hour road trip car for sure. Even though the mpg is amazing in the frs 1 or 2 extra gallons would be nice. Btw you need to come down here everyone is at the pool. I got a nice cold corona for you :$

I've been dying to get down there; my friend just came back from Austin and he's like "so when are we moving to Texas?"
