How is the Skunk2 Alpha EL Header?

Hi all,

I'm currently looking to upgrade my setup with new headers. Been contemplating between UEL and EL but came across what seems to be a pretty good deal.

$325 for a Skunk2 Alpha EL Header, used for roughly 12000 km.

I want a little more performance and the added sound is an extra bonus. Don't want anything too loud, currently only have a TRD Catback Exhaust with OFT Stage 1 Tune.

Do any of you have any experience with these headers or know if they're any good? I'm unable to find a lot of information about them online.

Thank you!

They're going to be quite a bit louder than the stock manifold.

Sound clips in here: http://blog.fteightysix.com/skunk2-alpha-header-review/

It's about $700 brand new, decide for yourself if that's a good enough deal.

As with any header check closely for cracks at the welds. Good deals on used headers frequently indicate a problem with them.

It will be REALLY loud with the TRD Catback.

For me it's not worth it. It bumps me way up in classing for autox, so that I'm running against far more powerful cars. But, ultimately I'm doing it to improve my own skills and have a Sunday fun day.

I also like the noises my car makes with the UEL header far more than the stock one.

Yep, that’s a viable option. Lots of good options out there for FI.

How much you looking to get for it?

You can price them both out if you would like, I will likely only be interested in the header. Unless the price is right.

I already have a 1320 OP

This is just for the header?

Where are you shipping from? So I can get an idea of freight charges.

Looks like it will be about $30 to ship.

Lmk when you're about ready to sell.
