I have recorded data from two pulls on one pill each that says there is a 6% increase in performance. You need to post your test results that prove 4 pills are required.

So has anyone changed the throwout bearing yet? My mechanic told me mine is probably going due to the weird noises (the clutch pedal hasn't start pulsating yet which is good).

Apparently there's a new part number from Subaru.

I know @Tcoat probably hasn't even changed the gear oil yet.

My oil got changed when they replaced all the parts my TOB took with it when I waited too long to change it and had a total meltdown. If the TOB is making noise change it. CHANGE IT NOW. Don't wait for the pulsing. Change it. I really really really mean it. Change it.

So what else did you need?

Should I buy a new clutch and pressure plate too just in case?

Dam so much money just to change a 60 bucks part. :@

New clutch (was chewed to pieces when the TOB totally blew)
Flywheel resurfaced (was just enough left to save it)
The slider on the transmission case. (that thing has about 40 names)
New fork (it twisted a bit)

Don't mess around with it. If you do it when you first hear noise everything else will be fine. Wait to long it destroys everything related to the clutch.

Okay good call.

I start noticing a slight swoosh sound when I step on the clutch. There's been a squeaky sound with the clutch pedal for years but it comes and goes (noticeable only when the car is turned off). I switched to a grabbier clutch and pressure plate with a new TOB a year after I got the car (probably 30k ago).

You waited like 200k?

This might seem a little weird, but I don't like the idea of every piece in the exhaust being from a different company. It kind of bothers me, even if it doesn't make sense. So when I think about what parts to get I try to get at least two or three things that match. Right now I want the Perrin catback, the 1320 front pipe, and the Revworks header. I do not see a Revworks overpipe, so...

http://1320performancestore.com/frs%...%20over%20pipe

But the description bothers me. "Only for the 1320 header"?

Just to remind everyone, and because I am lazy, which sound should we be looking for?

The squeak is just lube needed on the fork.
The TOB starts as a woosh, then progresses to a light squeal and then get's worse until it sounds like a banshee screaming. Mine only did it on cold starts and it would be fine once warmed up. Even on cold start I could make it come and go by pushing the clutch in. At it's worse I could even play a little song. Then it stopped making noise at all. That was not a good sign.

Okay soooooo I'm probably just before the banshee stage maybe 3 weeks ago. Actually I'm not hearing anything lately as the weather got warmer.

Anyway I bought a new TOB today for $50 bucks and indeed it's a new part number. The WRB BRZ tS is still there gathering dust on the showroom floor. But not like I can afford it.
