you get more hp if you get larger pipe, but you lose low end tq. however if you are planning to track, which always staying in high rpm, I don't see the bad side.
I'm still thinking if I should get the 80 one (im staying in NA for sure) |

Bout to go meta-devil's-advocate. KyShro, every exhaust I seen tested, including Amuse (havent seen T1R) show gains well within normal daily variance of dyno testing. If one wanted to, one could take pulls throughout a stormy day before and after ECU resets and show the same gains as every exhaust dyno before and after chart I seen so far. That doesnt mean that nothing works or is there is no gains to be had. You just cant trust dyno results that show less than like 10 horses or lb/ft of difference unless youre there to be so fucking anal as to make it proof that you hate your life and everything in it. Which brings me to Sizzle. Seen you around here talkin about 1-2 hp dont matter, 5-6 hp dont matter. Uh yeah, when youre dealing with a powerplant that is grossly efficient and still just a slug, 1, 2, 5 and definitely 6 horses per mod makes a HUGE dicference when combined with other mods and ran with an accompanying custom tune. IF YOURE GOING NA. Which I had planned on, perhaps being under-informed, and now find myself sadface. If youre going FI, yeah sure buy the best looking header and best sounding catback and just turn the boost up. Throttle response may be total shit but at least youve got bragging rights. Anyway, when I was a wee lad I dreamed of having Tomei internals when I grew up. This exhaust is gorgeous and maybe if I buy one I'll start achieving life goals and shit. |

I'd like to see the 80mm tested on an N/A setup tuned. I also agree the 80mm looks a lot better aesthetically.
After seeing K20/K24s make more power with a 3 inch exhaust, the whole too big piping no longer applies. It has a lot to do with the compression and the air flow of the engine. |
