New England International Auto Show
So I just got back from the NEIAS and....unfortunately I have no new info to share on the FR-S or BRZ. I grilled the reps from both companies and only managed to come away with "...Spring release & around $25,000..." for the FR-S and a "umm let me check with someone else on that..." from the Subaru rep.
But, being my first auto show, I didn't let the lack of info bring me down because there was more than enough eye candy around to gawk at and sit in. Anyhow, here are some shots from the show. Last edited by MannyO; 02-11-2012 at 08:30 PM. |

yeah I went yesterday. The show was sort of a let down for me, all the cars I was looking forward to seeing (FRS, BRZ, new GC, Veloster Turbo, Camaro ZL1, etc.) were not there. I went 2 years ago and there were a lot more interesting cars to look at, this year it was mostly boring commuter cars. The only new ones were the Veloster, LFA, Aventador, and Boss 302. I also got to see the Jeep Compass get high centered in the log course, and then get stuck twice going up the ramp, before they just decided to park it for the day. Oh and I drove a Camaro and I think made the chaperone pee himself. Overall I guess it was $12 well spent, but could've been a lot better. Hopefully next year they wait and have it when the new models are available.

From what I heard its just an average show, not a big deal to me, so I'm going today since I'm not the only person looking for a new car.
Are there long lines for the test drives? Just noticed someone posted the BRZ is going to be in Philly... Road Trip.

There were long lines for the Camaro and CTS-V, but not for anything else. I'd say it isn't really worth it for the camaro, wait for the CTS-V instead.

^ Note taken, thanks.
I'm actually looking forward to seeing what that Cadi is like.

Well I went to the show again today and talked to two different Scion reps and got:
"it's in Detroit right now"...oh......thanks captain obvious... "Summer release"...meteorological (6/1) or astronomical (6/20) summer? Then it got better the second time around. This time I tried to ask about the car in a different way to see if I could get a different answer, but apparently it must've made me sound like I knew absolutely nothing about the FR-S because I got a bunch of basic specs and features thrown at me. I was aghast At that point I realized that I knew more than they did...I think. Oh and M-17, I totally forgot you were going today until I checked my emails on the shuttle bus back to my car. |

I thought the show wasn't bad actually, could have been better though.
The jeep experience thing they had going on was the only thing I skipped. The best car imo that I couldn't get my hands on was the LFA. The only car I really liked, out of all the cars that you could get into, was the CTS-V. I thought it was weird while I was in cadi that for some reason the BRZ came to topic with some strangers. Anyways that car was my favorite out of the bunch. Then my friends and I set out to bother some of the cute girl reps.

Yeah I must've stared at the LFA for a solid 15 minutes in just sheer amazement. I sat in the CTS-V Coupe and it didn't really do much for me, but the IS-F on the other hand was the best car I sat in. Gotta love that blue stitching. Lexus girls were awesome, MINI (because not only were they cute, and they wore chucks), and the Chevy Sonic and Volt girls.

As for the girls, we discussed and had others join in to vote who they thought was the hottest girl rep there. The Lincoln chick and (the surprise out of know where) the Fiat chick were hands down for the tie were the best at the show, hahaa. I'd say I was still disappointed with Honda and Acura, but that didn't stop me from telling them that while entering in for the CRV contest.

Oh man I totally forgot about the Fiat girl and Lincoln girl. I'm pretty sure we're talking about the same people because they were definitely...noteworthy...to say the least. Thanks for reminding me haha
