I've never understood that. Why would I want a smart tv? My computer, my receiver, my chromecast, my phone, my ipad, my xbox, can all stream media and get Netflix and whatever else. I don't want to be cut off in the middle of something because my tv has to update its apps. It's a display device; it doesn't need any apps.

Mine doesn't update anything. At least not in the last 6 months did it ever need to update anything. Maybe it's not smart enough

Guess Canada gets a headstart?

Article from 3 hours ago for example:

http://www.wsj.com/articles/volkswag...f-r-1427477683

"In the interests of a fully immersive European drive, VW arranged for a Golf R with the optional six-speed manual transmission (available late summer in the U.S.). "
