So I don't need a check valve or need to do the WRX PCV swap? And I could run the catch can in series between the manifold and PCV without modifications or issues?

I run a centrifugal supercharger with a check valve and wrx pcv valve. I run the racerx catch cans and everything’s been in check so far.

Where did you read this from? I was under the impression that you cannot modify the pcv system.

I believe the rules are that you cannot remove or otherwise defeat the PCV system. And as Irace86.2.0 mentioned, it must be a closed system.

So adding a catch can is fine, removing the PCV valve or venting to atmos is not.

What he said ^^^

Essentially you can’t eliminate anything. You can only put a can in series that is a closed system. Here is a list of everything that is exempt or that requires an EO.

In fact the Cisco horizontal style catch can instructions specify connect to intake before manifold. I thought it was an error and attached to manifold inlet. Just added an STI PCV last week but probably not essential.

WRX PCV you mean, right? The STI PCV, I thought, didn’t fit the threads because it is from the EJ motor. The FA20DIT from the WRX has the right threads for a PCV swap.

Correct, I think. I thought the parts guy said they were the same.

So, for the record, I replaced the PCV with a WRX unit.

Might not have been a different spec from the stock part though. Didn't check the numbers. The stock part holds pressure when I blow into the inlet, so who knows whether the ability to withstand boost is actually greater.

I will be replacing the valve like you and putting in a check valve. Overkill but I don’t think there is any harm in doing both.

Does a centrifugal supercharger like HKS v2/v3 need a check valve addition , from PCV valve to intake manifold?
