If you drive it for any length of time, and it really is a bearing, the fresh oil will quickly develop a magical looking sheen of fine soft metal particles.

Whooops, my bad, I guess I was thinking about the transmission drain plug -

Who said anything about the block?

Well, I can either go out and shovel off the driveway - or - take a nap - let me see here -

I was thinking about where one would find flecks of anything ferrous in an engine sump and not be worried.

I'm tryin' to work with ya here.

There are two sizes of particulates that the oil filter will not take care of. Those too small which will give you that beautiful pearl oil or those too big and they just sort of settle in the oil pan.
Neither one of them bodes well.

That's the rpm range that freaked me out with my first OFT tune (and Nameless header, which is thin walled). Ran 15k miles no issues, till someone ran it into a pole for me. I did have to clean up the tune in that range too, though. Not saying it's not something worse, but it might be something more benign.

You're talking valve train noise, right?

I am having this same exact issue, but I do have an aftermarket header that I installed myself. So there is a huge possibility some bolts came lose.

I did just put the stage2+ tune on today. I will have to log my next drive, but briefly glancing at it, i didnt notice any knock correction.

Thanks for posting this.

Another update!
So luckily I was about 10k miles until warranty was up. Spun bearing. Getting fixed right now. Whole new short block being thrown in
