Do you think 3k more for a BRZ Limited is worth it for the extras, than an FR-S now?

I'm a Toyota guy, so of course I would like to go with a Asphalt 6spd MT FR-S. I like the styling of the front end better than the BRZ. Lately I have been getting use to the BRZ though. I feel for $3k more, the BRZ Limited is kinda worth buying. So I been leaning more towards the BRZ at the moment. I think it would be less costly than adding these things myself to the Scion FR-S. The foglights, HID's, keyless entry w push start, nice suede & leather seats, heated seats, Navi Radio, spoiler, digital climate control. I'm not sure if anyone has info if Toyota will have a limited version yet in the states or will these add ons be available for around the same price?

Well strictly from a price standpoint, the added options on the BRZ are WELL worth 3k.

you're going to pay a lot more than 3k if you're going to add the limited features yourself.

for scion, what you see is what you get. there are no rumors of a limited edition frs.

As stated, I think all the kit you get in the BRZ is well worth the 3k. If you are planning on DDing it, then you will greatly appreciate all the amenities.

It is WELL worth it. You're going to get bored with a very plain interior and lets face it. You will be spending most of your time in the car if you're anything like me.

If you like compliments, no one is going to give you one on your interior and really mean it.

Your car will have much more resale value for the upgraded interior and for having the subaru name on your car. We may even see decreased insurance rates over the scion because fr-s will have a higher percentage of younger drivers. The cars appeal to people of all ages but we know there will be alot more immaturity on the scion side of things.

Yeah I did it. I just stereotyped the fr-s audience.

The front end will be hidden by a license plate

The scion should have the toyota badge on it like the rest of the world. You could always rebadge with Toyota and then you can buy the toyota branded airbag for the steering wheel. It will only cost you $800+

'Brand loyalty' on a car built and engineered by Subaru kills me every time. If you are asking the question of worth you are already considering them as benefits you want, so good luck.

Exactly. What is extremely crazy is to call this car "The new Hachiroku." That's like saying one could buy a miata and put toyota badges on it and call it a Toyota.

If only Toyota just brought the GT86 here there wouldn't be debates like this and a lot mote people would be on the Toyota side.

No doubt about it. I definitely would be even though it's a Subaru with Toyota badging. I'll pick subaru over the FR-S any day. To understand this, one must look into the available options and interior customization when you build the car on their 86 website.

I wish they would let us choose the options. I am pretty indifferent about the interior stuff but I hate the spoiler and fog lights on the Limited. If they offered something with the interior of the limited and the exterior of the premium and the interior of the limited I would get that just because I know it will be easier to sell with the upgraded interior, but I'm not going to pay $2000 for car that in my opinion looks worse. I also think HIDs are a must have, so the FR-S is not an option for me. If they had the FR-S with the HIDs from the GT86 and it was still cheaper than the BRZ I'd go with that.

Get the limited and swap out the trunk and fogs with someone that has a premium wishing to have the limited exterior.

Maybe if they'd pay me for it, but the trunks are vin stamped so I'd rather not do that.
