Good thing my clear coat is peeling just in time for defrost...looks like my rims have sun burn...way too lazy to take my wheels off, looks like I'm rockin flakey rims this summer

I'm planning on buying an ECUtek tune however I'm so confused with several things. It says you need a license if you havent previously had a tune is this true? I've asked some of the guys at O.M.O and they said they are unfamiliar with 86 tunes, however I feel like you guys have better knowledge. What exactly do I need for a STG1

You need a license to mate your ecu to ecutek, after that you can flash ecutek tunes from any tuner. The license is a one time purchase and cant be reused on another car
In short, you'll need a licence, cable, and tune file the first time. If you switch tuners, you'll only need a cable and tune file Hope that helps Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

Yep, I have one too if anyone in the city would like to borrow it (just promise to bring it back
 )You can find some open source roms in ECUtek (now that there is the free versions) that certainly run cheaper. I do not know how good those tunes are though..many topics on them in the ECU/Tuning section
