I used permatex ultra grey, I use that shit everywhere. No leaks to report and when I took the pan back off it was hella stuck on there. @Deadspool if you need any help u can always call or text me, we did the three day blitz with mine as well. The fact that @FullBlown 's kit comes with instructions is amazing, most kits just say you're on your own lol.

So true, I permatex black all the things haha

I shouldn't have any troubles with the install, I really appreciate the offer!

Its almost luxurious to be installing a bolt on kit with no fuckery, and instructions to boot.

Aside from a tube of sealant and im guessing teflon tape, I cant think of any weirdness the kit should need for the install.

The worst part of this whole thing is waiting. waiting. waiting.

I need a smoke.

I still think this is one of the nicer kits out, I just wish they would provide a tune for something other than ecutek. I think once some of the other products are finished, it will give people a lot more options for tuning this kit outside of that realm.

The custom kit I will be running will be tuned with a haltech and also OFT.

FBM is using a motec, but I cannot afford that type of candy (although I'd like to haha)

@FullBlown tunes with the direct injection which correct me of I'm wrong LJ, haltech does not yet support. I'm sure he could tune it though, he's done my buddies cars on haltech.

@bakerr6

so you will run haltech and oft parallel to each other ?

You can tune with any stand alone out there its just useless because you cant make proper use of it.

You can run pretty much any standalone in parallel with ecutek or any openflash. The thought to attempt it had crossed our mind, but we felt that you still do not have total control over everything.

I've also heard that there were issues with the DI behaving properly when you take control of the PI. I am sure there are tricks to marry the two, but at that point we would have invested heavily (hours) into something that is still not up to par when comparing to a standalone.

This ! Time is money, and if you're not a tuner and think of doing a standalone you're better off with the motec. Obviously its not a cheap choice but you might eventually spend the same fine tuning your parallel setup

That is correct, Haltech does not support DI and it doesn't sound like it will happen anytime soon.

Good question, I had thought about using both. However, I do believe others will be using one or the other. Dynosty is using a haltech on their car.

Ideally I would love to use a motec unit. At this point it's just not in my fun budget. I feel confident that this will change in the future though.

I think dynosty discarded their haltech project but could still do it for you
