Yeah the pistons are slightly larger since they were originally for the WRX (and certainly more expensive cuz STi lol). The problem with them is that they move brake bias more toward the front of the car, whereas the OEM brembos on the sport package 2017 models have smaller pistons and keep some of the bias down (still shifts more to the front tho). Oddly enough having the rear brembo set up is worse than the OEM sliding calipers!

Well, I'll just add that I don't think that moving the brake bias to the front is really a problem. It's still OEM. If anything, the current bias in stock vehicles may be an issue that they rectify with the OEM update and upgrade.

Yeah and I mean for normal street driving you'll have to be at the limits to feel a difference anyway. The way I look at it is this set up allows for bigger rotors which means more heat soak. Thats where you really pick up the gains. And the ease of pad changes too....

What's the difference of the rear subframe? Will it fit a 2018 model?

So, it’s cheaper to buy the full rear subframe than the 4 subframe and the 2 subframe bushings, right?

What’s the diameter of the front sway bar for STi? Will the bushing fit a 2018 model?

The front sway bar of tS is stock. The sway bar bushings are much smaller and they offer a more immediate steering feel. Nothing more on the performance side.

Anyone happen to check to see if there's a US part number for the STi carbon fiber wing, and if it's still $2500 or possibly a bit more reasonable than buying from Japan? Just curious...

Regarding the rear sub-frame stopper, do I need 2 or 4 pieces?
For a 2018 model, do I need the upper or the lower version? Thanks! |
