FRS Monogram vs. Series 10

No flame wars intended for this thread. I'm just curious if anyone considered a Series 10 before seeing the new Monogram. I almost pulled the trigger on the Series 10 until I saw the Monogram. I got lucky that the dealership had a Monogram in Asphalt when I went to visit. I didn't intend to buy a car that day. I was there to find out if they can locate and price a Series 10 for me. I'm a very happy Monogram owner and took my baby home on Feb. 23rd.

Has anyone tried to source some of the Series 10 parts like the shift knob. I think that was cool.

For Series 10 owners, did the dual climate, HID and LED Running lights come standard on your cars?

The Series 10 was a limited run, which came with a limited run colour (one colour only) and those light up extras (badges, shifter etc)

but really, Series 10 = Monogram but you get colour selection with the Monogram

I will just leave this here...

The Scion FR-S Monogram Series™ offers the following premium features:
• BeSpoke Premium Audio featuring aha (includes navigation)
• Heated Leather Seats
• Dual Zone Auto Climate Control
• Smart Key Push Button Start
• Anti-Theft Security System
• Frameless Rear-View Mirror
• Center Armrest
• Carpeted Cargo Mat
• HID Auto Headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lights
• Heated Color-Keyed Power Exterior Mirrors
• Color-Keyed Rear Spoiler
The standard FR-S exterior color palette applies.

Mine came with all of the above plus the SmartKey and Push-Button start, silly light-up things and TRD Exhaust (although I think that was port-installed)

From what I'm hearing the 10 Series has the creature comforts of the BRZ Premium and the Monogram has the comforts of the BRZ Limited.

The 10 series also has navigation, right?

I thought the 10 series and monogram were essentially the same car except for the auto shift knob, and lighted emblems.

If I were going for a silver fr-s, I would've seriously considered the 10 series over the monogram.

Mine has SatNav. I believe the Monogram also has heated leather and heated mirrors as the 1-up over the 10.

Only difference between the 10 series and the mono are:

Leather/alcantara heated seats
color options
bespoke nav, although some 10 series included the nav.
light up badges

I thought I remembered hearing that the monograms were also limited in production like 2000 but not specially numbered.

What is SatNav?

I need to get this sticky'd:

http://sdrv.ms/16hKTVx

The BRZ Limited, 10 Series, and Monogram are all basically identical in terms of major trim differences, but differ in terms of minor/cosmetic trim differences. The navigation for the 10 series and Monogram are identical, the 10 series just has to pay for the additional module whereas monogram is included.

You are correct. Only 2000 Monograms will be produced for US market and the vehicles have no special ID numbers or badges, just the extra features.

I believe SatNav uses satellites rather than cell phone towers for navigation. An especially good feature for those who live in or travel to out of the way places with no cell phone reception.

Thanks for the SS. I didn't realize there was a 10" sub option for the BRZs. I'm kind of jealous. Does anyone know where these were installed?
