Removing the stock Bluetooth module
Hi there,
I've replaced my head unit in my BRZ 2013 and I have also unconnected the microphone /w button on the windshield, which ran along the A-pillar and behind the dash piece with the trunk and dimmer. The issue I have now is that the stock Bluetooth module still tries to connect to my phone when I start up my car as well as my new aftermarket stereo, which is annoying, How can I stop my car trying to connect to my phone or how do I\ Where is the Bluetooth module so I can rip it out? |

uh, there shouldn't be another bluetooth connection in the car if you removed the original radio...
there also shouldn't be a button with the microphone...

If you have a microphone with a button, and also have an old BT connection remaining after you removed the headunit, maybe the microphone/button is actually an aftermarket BT unit like BlueAnt or something like that? My understanding is that from "stock" the only BT the car has is in the head unit. So you must have an aftermarket unit somewhere then.
What is the rogue connection called on your phone? |

Stupid question but are you sure it's your car trying to connect to your phone, or your phone trying to connect to the car? Seems more likely the latter rather than the former.
