Manual engine into an Auto?
I've found a seemingly good deal on a manual engine, would it be relatively simple to take whatever I need off of my blown auto and transplant it into the manual engine to get it going? Or do I need to find an automatic engine?

They are interchangeable. There's a few things you'll need to remove from your auto engine to transplant it over.

2017+ motor? If so that's a good look. I love that red manifold.

Thanks, someone said it would be costly but i think they maybe didn't understand the question. This would have to far and away be more cost effective than buying a short/long block, right? Not just on parts, but labor mostly.

would be like an extra hour of labor. I put a manual motor into my auto one.

Been asked many times before. Short answer is do not do it. Middle answer is placement and fit is easy, electronics are a bitch. Long answer and all that needs to be replaced and rewired has been answered before.

I couldn't find it anywhere that it's covered or been asked many times before. I've seen the opposite, auto into a manual, but thats not what we were talking about here. Not sure why the short answer would be to not do it if the placement and fit is easy, and the motor's are already out?

Wanted to cross post since this is one of the top threads, you can find good info here instead
https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...59#post3400759 I added some posts recently about MT engine into an AT as most people seem to be opposite so the hiccups are a little different and not as easy to solve on the spot. |
