The gearheads drove the initial release of this car, and now the money guys have twigged to how many suckers for shiny there are.

I suspect the FR-S/BRZ will be a victim of it's own success.

I look forward to driving a stock first-gen ten years from now, when the majority, sadly, look like the typical shit-box moldy-rice Civic.

I've said it before, but if I could afford another 2013 FR-S, I'd buy it in a heartbeat, mothball it as is (with the standard 200 miles on it from the dealer). Id open it up 20 years from now drive through the park.

(BTW: check my name... stock)

I love this car as it.
(ok, ive got an exhaust and intake, but... wtf)

Maybe this will turn into something like a 911, when you think you got the best one, a new one rolls out, and it does something better than the one you had before. Except it has no power increase, you might get some minor cosmetic changes, a convertible version, a track version, a more Racier version,Nurburgring 86, Fuji 86, 86 RS, 86 GT3 and then if you buy like some super expensive Electric version of the Next Supra, they'll give you a special color electric green FRS to drive around until they finish your Supra.

I'd be willing to be that you will be able to buy a low-mileage (abused) FR-S/BRZ under 10K miles for about 10K in two years. Parts, if nothing else.

The people who think the stock FR-S sucks are the ones who could walk faster through the twisty bits.

In other words, Scion, like Porche, will listen to the retards and "improve" to destruction what makes the car special.

As long as they don't pull a Boxter Spyder thing where they charge you for less... and straps for door handles. I think we'll be ok, but I'm pretty trusting of the people on the project of this car, I'm sure it won't be too significant but it's something desirable. Maybe you know, less crickets, no taillights condensations. Another Kneed pad?...maybe they should fix up this one before they release a new one lol. But I do look forward to seeing the next one.

agree, I would rather have a base and mod it to my liking personally

Bold prediction: Whiteout will go away and change to the Crystal White Pearl (like the '15 WRX).

It sounds like we'll hear about the updates very soon. I've heard that the '15 changeover is happening right now.
