This car really isnt made to go very fast in a straight line. Takes forever to gain speed in triple digits

I meant once you hit 100 it starts taking a while to gain more speed (ie 100mph+). From what I have heard

Its no different then any sub 300hp vehicle. Over 100mph you really start fighting the aerodynamics. So even with something as well designed as our car is for aerodynamics its still going to have a hard time over coming that.

Shifting from 4th to 5th is where you really slow down. 105mph.

I do expect OP is laughing, but what the fork. Let's masturbate together! I mean chat online.

Yes. It has nothing to do with HP though and 300 would be as bad as 200. I think that someplace around 110 you would start to pee a little (I have heard) as the front of the car starts to lift at every little bump (in theory)and the steering starts too get all funky ( I think). I shut it down pretty fast after that. OH WAIT I mean if I ever went that fast I would WANT to shut it down. Not that I have ever gone that fast with it.

But we all have to agree on what car before we can do that! I am a bit disappointed by the lack of participation of the S2000 crowd this time around since they are usually highly represented in the "get this car" threads.

It's relative. In my last car with better factory aero and and extra 140ish hp it was much quicker. Though yeah, that 110-117mph was a bit sketchy til the aero began to work. It was really crazy how the wind noise quieted down and the car just replants itself, according to the guy on an abandoned road in Mexico that is.

I think the S2000 is getting old enough that the love is fading for it. Too many former S2K owners are now in other cars. As a track toy, being able to haul your own tires is a big deal.

The autobahn isn't all about straight line high speed. There are many places where it slows down and you have to pay attention to the speed limit, I was mainly saying the handling aspect of the FRS. I would have liked to see how it handled the autobahn. There were great curves and I would have liked to have pushed it to the edge... legal like... Not that I have found myself above 100mph.... here.

Tcoat - I doubt the handling of the fsr is worse then a focus station wagon at 220 kph.... That was VERY floaty and felt very unsafe.... didn't stop me though.

I should add... I got a speeding ticket 2 months later.... 8 kph over... 10 euros.

To answer the original question, get a 2017 BRZ with the PP and you have half of your mods done right there. Maybe a series.yellow if you can find one cause those will at least hold their value for awhile. I've seen a few RS's on the road and I gotta say they look sexy as hell in black, but they sound no better than a modern BMW (which isn't good). My consensus on the RS is that it can do everything well, but nothing great. I wouldn't want it as my main performance car.

I also have to agree with @jsimon7777 about the S2k. I would only get such a car if I had something big and spacious do handle the tough jobs, and even then you're left with this tiny roadster convertible which is only enjoyable on certain days relying on the weather, and you'd have to have nice windy roads nearby to be able to enjoy it on a regular basis. That applies to the BRZ too but it has at least a bit more practicality than an S2k does.

My point is, I just hate convertibles.

I had a Genesis Coupe 2.0T with right around 270 HP at stock (I had modified it so it was running more than that when I had it) and over 100 MPH it just kept going no problem. It was scary because it ran so easy over 100 sometimes I'd look down and I'd be going much faster than I thought. It still pulled up over 125. I got it up to 135 before but not more than that and it had some more to give.

The FRS loses any momentum up over 110 and takes forever to go any faster. It has more to give but you need a LOOOONG stretch of road to get it.

I understand your point on the 100+... but I have had waaaaay more fun at lower speeds in this car then almost any car at faster speeds. I haven't hit 110 yet, 101 I think is my highest, but in traffic.
