I finally emailed Koni regarding the stepped washer and they literally replied in 8 minutes - dang that's speedy! They said they are compiling a list of owners (based on who contacts them) and will ship out the washers when they are available - estimated to be sometime in February.

It's usually about -1 to -1.2 I believe. I got -1.1 on both sides.

Anyway, you might want to try zero toe all the way around with as much negative camber you can get up front on the new setup. Then after you've experimented a bit, I'd fine tune with strut rebound adjustments, then toe.

I would imagine the TRD springs will provide us with a little more negative camber since the car is being lowered. That will probably be the biggest advantage of the TRD springs.

C street mods that may turn to STX
I've done very little autox, and zero HPDE with my FR-S. For several years I've been tracking my Porsche 944, and autoxing my completely stock Boxster 986S with PCA. In the last few years, I have only been autoxing. Now I've "retired" my 944 from track duty and returned it back to mostly stock. I've been contemplating getting back into HPDE in the FR-S and competing in SCCA autocross with it. I'll definitely continue to be at most of our local PCA events in the Boxster (I'm active on the PCA autox committee).
I've been thinking about STX for the FR-S only because of the potential need for brake and cooling upgrades for HPDE use. I'll be lucky to make more than a 3 or so HPDE's in a year, so I really don't want to put a bunch of money in the car for a "maybe" use. If I go the C Street route for SCCA autocross, what mods would you suggest that won't be a waste of money should I end up going the STX route? I don't mind having an extra set of 17x7 wheels, so that wouldn't be wasted money. |

Depends on how far you want to go in STX. All of the stuff you can do in CS would still work for STX, but it may not necessarily be the best option for STX. If you're looking for components that would be 'best' for both, that list is going to be quite small.
I think you can get some MCS shocks. I think on its own its normally a coilover but you can some spring perches that make legal for CS. You would just back to the non CS spring perch for STX. A lightweight catback or axleback may be usable, but you're going to want headers and a tune for STX. So the catback/axleback would still need to hook up to whatever you do exhaust wise. You may also be able to keep a sway bar. That is all that comes to mind. |

If you're determined to run an oil cooler I doubt the local guys will throw a fit as it's unlikely to be a performance advantage. |

I post here because we're OEM
how fast do you guys lose alignment after racing? my last 3 alignments, about 8 months apart each, show a trend of the rear going considerably out of spec, while the front maintains it's spec much better. could this be an issue with the OEM alignment bolt in the rear, or the fact our rear crossmember shifts around a lot from having soft bushings?
