It's a cleanable filter, but if you really want a new one, you can order one using the part number mentioned above.

It would have moved the rotor out a bit, relative to the caliper. The new brake pads are a tight fit and I wasn't sure if they would fit if the rotor wasn't aligned with the caliper.

Instead, I used the passenger side APR brake duct to route air towards cylinder #1, to cool coilpack 1. Maybe this will help prevent coilpack 1 failures

Could space the mounting bracket the same distance from the spindle.

I doubt you'd have issues with pad fitment with the backing plate installed and if you did, you could always shave the pads down a bit...

Wouldn't do that. Stock brakes are floating, he's got a radial mounted caliper.

Has anyone posted an optimal build of supporting mods with this kit? I'm sort of a "put everything on my car all at once" kinda guy.

So did @Touge Factory not do any pre-production testing on their backing plate for the AP rotor to see if the pads would fit correctly knowing the differences in the way the calipers are mounted? They just fabbed it up and sent it straight to you without fitting it on a shop car first to ensure it works correctly without modification? Seems strange and uncharacteristic of the guys at TF Works.

Sorry for going off-topic... I really want this to work for you without much headache. Maybe that's why the Endurance BBK exists

@normancw: If your brakes are not overheating without ducts, then don't put on the ducts.

The ducts are a "hack" to bring the equilibrium temperature down, but it comes at the cost of larger, more frequent temperature swings. The temperature swings are what cause rotors to crack earlier.

"optimal" is subjective.

What's your budget for supporting mods on top of the kit + tune?

I can certainly point you in the right direction.

You haven't seen any updates on the CSG BRZ because we've been toying with supporting mods to see what works, but we don't expect to be done for another ~6 months or go. We want to do some heavy stress testing in the summer months.

Just finished installing my kit. It went fairly smoothly. While I've installed Superchargers and other FI kits to other people's cars, I've not done my own until now. Funny how, when it is your own car, you become a little more paranoid than usual.

The pipe coming from your MAF to the intake manifold looks different???

Is that the right part?

Mines a rubber hose and that looks like it's metal and powder coated black???
