Rumors, and as such, nothing to get excited about.
I mean: I think most people have though "hm...i could just get a 2.5 Boxed from a Subie and plonk that in here"...

It's relevant for those who are willing to wait another year based on a speculation.
Personally - I didn't feel the 200bhp from the current gen was horribly low (fast enough... but not fast), and I have waitied long enough (10months - my car is currently in Druban, awaiting delivery to NAM)

Unless you have ordered a Blue I cant understand why you have waited so long.
Im seeing dealers in Durban with stock on the floor.

Because I am not in SA, and there's no way (save for importing myself, which is a royal pain to do, not financed (mostly) through the bank, and would mean i have to speak to a DP whenever i need a service because Toyota NAM is not exactly a shining beacon of awesome) I could get one from SA.
I tried talking to dealers in SA and got promises followed by nothing (Yes... we'll send you the documentation - yes, we'll send you a quote, etc), I talked to every single dealership in NAM (no, we can't import from stock in SA - only BEFORE it enters stock), and there were a few occasions where it looked like my dealership could swap an "in the yard, but not yet in stock" for my build allocation, but every time, the other dealership then wanted ridiculous things in return (the new RAV - a week after it was released, for example).

I have tried all avenues, and I even got so frustrated that I was about to buy a BRZ (369K for a new one, delivery in a week, since they don't allocate to stock until it's sold), but was stopped from spending that much more for nothing I wanted by the wife.

Trust me, EVERY route was explored. It was NO fun to wait (Still isn't delivery scheduled for next week).
And for the record: that's a standard spec white one.
The only option I didn't take was the Orange High-spec one that's been standing at the one dealership here for MONTHS. Mainly because i HATE the orange and the dealer wouldn't budge off of new price, even though they used it as a demo.

End result:
I had to join the waiting cue for one that's freshly built. and THAT cue is long.

They will fix it under warantee, but once out of warantee, your problem, and a possible R30 k rebuilt waiting for your own pocket.
