20$ Shark Fin Antenna
Well i just couldnt justify spending 100 dollars on a sharkfin antenna so i improvised. I looked online at all different types of cars that come stock with shark fin style antennas. I found a stock black antenna cover that came off of a BMW on ebay for 20$ shipped, and decided what the heck ill give it a try. Well it finally came in today, it wasnt an exact fit but with just a little bit of customizing it turned out perfect.
Sorry for the bad picture qualtiy i took them with my iphone So this is what it looked like when i got it. So our stock antenna was a little wide so i had to shave a little off of both sides of the cover, and there was a dimple that i shaved off so that it would sit flush Then i just put new double sided tape on it, And then just put it on, I dont know how much someone would charge you to paint match one of these but i bet it would still end up being cheaper then buying one for $100. |

That looks great!! Something I want to do in the future.
One question though, does the radio still work? If it is only a cover, I assume it only improve the appearance but doesn't keep the radio? |

All the other fins sold here have an antenna.
The VG I installed maintains the same signal strength as the OEM. |

Sounds exactly the as it did with the antenna rod still on it, easy way to see how your stations are gonna come in if you do this is just unscrew your rod and ride around for a day.

you can buy an aftermarket antenna and modify it anyways, should only cost around $10. Nice find btw

Looks lots smaller then rest I've seen if so good, I like shark antennas but all offerings are too large IMO.
