You need "more" test drives?!

I used to have an 05 AP2 and I started to miss it more and more after I sold it. I wanted another one but couldn't justify paying the same price for one as what I sold it for years before and with more miles. I test drove an frs and bought it on the spot. The end.

^ That's why I am buying this car.

EDIT: After reading that over again, I broke my plan 3 times now! Oh well, time to start saving for emergency and future house now.

Looks and RWD.

Everything else can be fixed if it bothers you(stereo, power, etc).

I come from a slower car background and this is the fastest I have owned to date, so the car is a blast for me. Plus I have an alltrac that is about to take the title of fastest and a TE72 waiting to do the same lol.

What was the biggest thing that made you decide to get a frs/brz/86
I did a huge amount of research and considered the 350Z/370Z, G35/37, WRX, Mustang, Camaro and others. Was only interested in RWD sports cars (and wasn't really interested in a Mustang or Camaro, but researched them for comparison's sake). Was interested in an M3 or Cayman too, but low-mileage examples are still out of the budget I set.

Ended up on a low-mileage 6MT FR-S in Whiteout because it is an awesome sports car that drives great, looks great, gets great mileage, has a very low insurance cost, has a warranty, and only cost me 19.5K.

Even though nothing ever went wrong with my RX-8 I was tired of the gas guzzling, oil burning, and the so-so looks. Loved the BRZ looks, even lighter, less body roll, I can fit in it, 32 mpg, and easy oil change. If I could fit in the blasted Miata I would already have one.

Made my retainer payment today.

I've driven one once but from that I could feel a lot of difference from my bolt-on-equipped fwd rsx.

Read this quote in a review of the brz "it's like your sitting in the car and not on top of it." It hits the nail on the head. People rave about the handling and how solid it is for good reason.

Also for me I was sick of working on older cars and wanted to get something a little easier to maintain.

Almost opted for an s2000 for a while because insurance was a tad cheaper but being it's a little older the loan was going to be much heavier for me.

I decided on the brz (vs frs) for two basic opinionated reasons;

1) the interior is much nicer in the limited brz than a premium brz or frs. I didn't want to cut that corner buying a new car.

2) I wouldn't drive a scion. I don't have loyalty to Subaru, being it'll be my first, but I just generally wouldn't want to drive a scion. I appreciate the frs and other scion models just fine but like I said, opinionated reasons.

Tldr: new, handles/feels great to drive, no rust/excessive wear, creature comfort from this decade, rwd

- The philosophy behind this car (AE86 heritage, Initial D, lightweight RWD coupe..etc)
- price
- overall package (Limited BRZ)
- Chris Harris GT86 drive video on youtube (not even joking)

I still think this is one of the most exciting cars you can get brand new for under 30k on the market right now. I was looking for something that is more of a "toy" than a DD when I was shopping for a car.

The only car that will rival my decision is the ND Miata but it wasn't available in 2013. Next is a base 981 Cayman which I don't have the dough for.

Toyota, AE86, RWD, 6spd, stiff suspension, fanboi, enthusiast, unique (before you guys called it the new Civic), Subaru teamwork, under $25k (got mine $21k ), Rare colour in my area, had A/C.

Real deciding factor... the damn fkn ride. I loved it, felt heavy, but car so light! And last, i liked the mpg.. 30+ ...even if i rarely hit in my part of CA. Only on long trips is it 30+
