I wanted to confirm my reading. I was out there for 5 minutes during a break. But I got power on both sides. I have a feeling we are reading something else. In about 20 minutes I should be able to be out there for a good chunk of time.

From my memory:

Standard battery 28lbs

Dump pack 20 pounds

Lightweight starter replacement ~15lbs

Control box, compressor, wiring 5-6lbs

Think it is a net gain of 15 to 25 lbs dependent on your battery of choice. For my current config i have the largest starter battery(because Canada) and an additional 12lbs on lead for aux battery in addition to the 20lb dump pack.

But I wouldn't have the relay so far away from the control box.
A small gauge wire to feed the switching through the sound tube hole = money.
I feel like I'm still missing something. Doesn't the wires to the voltage meter, which also houses the switch, already get fed through the sound tube? Therefore, its right under the glove box. All you have to do is cut the two wires, solder a wire to each cut side (so 4 total) and run those up to a relay in the glove box. There is no need for the position of the break to be near the control box, all that needs to happen is to have a break somewhere in the line to the voltage meter.
You would only need 10 feet of wire tops, which is a grand total of about $1 worth of wire.

Are you checking for voltage or continuity?

here, I worked super hard in paint to make a diagram of what I'm talking about. This may clear up nothing.

Yes, that will work. However, the wires by the control box are more accessible and if we can find a switch 12v supply there it will be easier.

Full throttle Electric Supercharger Build Thread

So we put my car on the dyno without a tune. I don't have any pictures or graphs to post because I don't feel like our speed run was an accurate depiction of what is actually being produced.

So I am going to wait until we receive all the required parts that we need for the dyno and posts all sorts of graphs and pictures for all to see.

As for my review of the FTS. Wow this is really how the car should of been from the factory. And I have strong feeling this is how the car is going to feel when they release the STI version of the BRZ.

As for the power we are not talking about "put your back against seat and watch my face go all Jeremy clarkson by the forces being applied to it." But rather, we are talking about a pretty hefty gain in power and torque when the system activates. You can definitely feel it activate and I love the sound it makes when you go off the throttle.

Rob, you made a badass little system here. I can't wait to test this with e85 and a tune.

It looks like @ shiv@vishnu and @ robert@vishnu want to get their hands on this car. We just need to work it out.

I'll add more later!

Good update... Looking forward to those results! Buy a barrel of e85 and send it to me up here! Mind you it won't do me very good in the winter lol.

As for me on the tq300.... Still going strong. Really pulls hard in the midrange. Took a video clip to try and capture sound today... Will upload in a bit
