Wooow. That's super awesome. It looks like they were able to keep things relatively clean too in terms of what they ripped out/replaced.

Was just chatting with Nate, the lead instructor at dirtfish, on FB messanger (very cool guy). He mentioned that the car is pretty much stock engine-wise: intake relocated to the wheel well to keep crap from gunking it up, straight exhaust, modified bell housing to mateup with the sadev sequential gear box etc. Subframes are completely custom, so different suspension pick up points t give it the correct geometry with the lift, and have WRC "R3" grade Reiger suspension ($18k dampers!). He said all in all, it cost about $50k on top of the price of the car to do all of this in house, so, it's basically just like getting a Synergy V8!

Oh cool a car video that starts out with dubstep/trap music and racking focus on aftermarket parts.

Well, unfortunately, that seems to be the current widely accepted format for a "build break down" nowadays.

Still better than what I had to watch back in the day...

No that's the current "this is how you do it, how else would you do it?" mentality by people making videos. Someone will come along and do something different, they will get more views and everybody will flock to copy them.

Honestly it's Top Gear's fault. That's how they shot cars ten years ago, people are still copying them just with different music. At least TG had some fun with the music choice as it sometimes reflected the attitude of the car.

Seriously... I was sick in bed for the last 3 days, so what else did I have to do but watch youtube clips and yes, you are very right. Click bait pics, misleading titles, ending a clip by doing that "cover the camera with hand" bullshit... I got so sick and tired of it.

But so is invention and creativity. Why reinvent the wheel if it works? I just need to keep churning out these videos to get my $ from youtube

Yeah.. I watch B is for Build, and Chris, the guy whose channel it is is friends with Tj Hunt (eugh) and you can tell as time goes on that Chris picks things up from him.. which.. I get. Tj Hunt is annoying as all hell but he has millions of views. If it works then what else are you going to do about it?

My family have owned several clubs (and even clutch pedal locks) and all have not kept the cars from getting stolen (some more than once). We had to resort to using hidden kill switches on my integra, my brother's civic and my dad's tacoma and none have been stolen since.

Damn that's crazy. I was hoping that the club would be a visual deterrent more than anything. A kill switch is a cool idea, but I wouldn't feel comfortable wiring that all up. Maybe I will just have to pull the fuel pump relay when I park in shady spots.
