Just hypothetically speaking; wouldn't a 3.0L naturally aspirated V-8 that revs to 8k and makes 360HP be fantastic?! That would match the S2000's 120HP/L in a much sexier yet manly V-8. I'd hit it.

Porsches don't rumble like Subarus do, the firing order and manifolds are different. That said, I love how Porsches sound!

Some guy said 4 cylinders blow and I provided an example of a 4 cylinder with a nice (IMO) sound. Nothing comparing 4 against 6 or any some such. That said, I'll take a boxer 4 over a V6. Haven't heard a V6 I like. Now, V8 on the other hand...

That would be pure sex!!! But it sounds very expensive in a bang for buck sports coupe.

My source was a C&D test that measured 56/44 with the V6 Track package.

And, um FR-S 55/45? 53/47.

Dimman, google Genesis coupe V6 55/45 and you will see countless sites with the same figures.

http://www.topspeed.com/cars/hyundai...e-ar54295.html

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...z/viewall.html

And now for the 2.0t

http://www.roadandtrack.com/tests/up...sis-coupe-2.0t

Couple members was saying the FR-S is 55/45 without two occupants but I don't quite believe it.

Ok I did some quick research and it seems like the 2013 is actually 56/44. That means it gained weight on the front end.

I drove a 2011 2.0t rspec, it was a nice car but just felt slow and heavy.

New engines should help that, but I always see this car as more of a nice sporty Grand Tourer, verses real sports car.

For this one its just what people want, not really serious competitors.

My review was from 2009.

I was imagining ~51/49 for the 2.0T, before it came out.

Still unhappy that the performance options are packaged into the $31k trim in Canada... Not even worth testing it to compare the Scion really, unless it's a sign that we're going to get price-shafted on the FR-S also.

Nothing at you SUB, but I found that statement interesting as we called cars with those specs "muscle cars" just a few years ago.

Yeah but a Cayman S/370Z have a similar P2W ratio.

I honestly think I will go with the FR-S out of the two. I have a feeling it will be more fun at sane speeds and I will rip the backseat out so I don't have to worry about carrying 3 other people that weigh at least 150 lbs a piece. Just me and the GF only. We weigh 300 lbs combine and I am 150. My GF is 5''11' if you're wondering why she weighs as much and I am 5''9'.

I want to share a story that made me change my mind to the FR-S.

My cousin went shopping for a Hyundai Accent this week so I went along for support in case he got taken advantage of. So it was me 5''9'(150 lbs) his wife 5''0' (105lbs) my cousin 5''10 (300+ lbs) and the salesman 6''1 (350 lbs). Now here is the specs on this car.

2525 lbs curb weight
138 hp
123 tq
1.6 liter GDI engine
6 speed automatic with manual shift

Now we all went for a test drive and I couldn't believe how that car propelled nearly 1,000 lbs of humans in a kind of adequate fashion. It didn't feel as lazy as my GF's Honda civic with a similar P2W ratio. Modern technology in engines is amazing!!! Then it got me thinking about the FR-S real hard and I realize with a engine .4 liters bigger with a lot more power and torque and a curb weight 200 lbs heavier. The FR-S would be brilliantly quick enough especially being a modern tech engine sports car and not carrying more weight than me and my GF.

Me and the GF in the FR-S equals 3050 lbs with 200hp/151tq
vs
Me and everybody in the accent equals 3450 lbs with 138hp/123tq

I still can't believe the Hyundai accent had some almost adequate(It would've been adequate without the lard asses) balls with over 900 lbs of people in it with such a puny output. I think the FR-S will be more than enough for me.
