well, I guess you are correct. Camry's in a sportier suspension are 5.9-6.1

WRX is 4.9, an inch probably makes a big difference.

BRZ is 4.9.

Mini cooper s I drive is 4.9.

Mini cooper + WRX = winter capable.

BRZ at 4.9 is too low. Apparently, 4.9 inches on the BRZ is from a different plane of existence, some altered dimension where the WRX is snow capable but the BRZ is a plow. :i ono:

Subaru's been good about marketing AWD capabilities for a regular street car, so you can blame the brainwashed masses for that.

Those same people also want a turbo on this car.

Mine is a hair over 3 and I am on my 3rd winter without ever being stuck or unable to go anyplace. In the Snowbelt of Canada. Even when I bottom out in heavy snow all the skid plates underneath just slide me along.

Yeah, my car in that photo is lowered on KW V3s coilovers. It's probably around 1 inch lower, if not more. Haven't gotten stuck yet (though I fear for the life of my lip) with all the ice chunks on the road lol.) The 1" less clearance definitely makes deeper snow less passable though. I won't pretend it doesn't.

Ya those ice chunks can do a number on your lip or bumper!
