My Borg Warner Treadstone turbo build
Hey gents,
After running open flash headers, CAI and and a 2.5inch header back for a year I decided I wanted more. I chose the treadstone kit for a couple of reasons . The first being that it kept the crash beam in tact. This was needed to get the car engineered after the turbo install. The second being it was at the time, the only kit offering a BorgWarner EFR with my first requirement. My power goals are fairly modest for what the kit is capable of. I'm aiming for 220-230 rwKw on E85 Tuning via Ecutek My tuner is away atm, he only managed to finish the 98 side of my tune and currently at around 50% ethanol on the e85. I'll post official results when the tune is completed in a couple of weeks. But for now it's making 200rwKw on 98 at 14psi.( 14psi was the base setting) Current list of relevant mods: -DBA -5000 rotors on the front and 4000's on the rear. -Exedy stage 1 clutch. -Delicious flex fuel -Crawford AOS -Deatschwerks 900cc injectors -Forged performance oil cooler( yet to be installed) sandwich plate and adapter in one Yay no leaks -Treadstone Turbo kit( Borg Warner 6758) - ceramic coated all hot and cold parts. Looks awesome! What MAP sensor did you select? Running the EBCS that's integrated on the EFR?

Hey mate,
I'm running an Omni 4 bar coupled with the 900cc deatschwerks was a real pita to tune. And yeah I'm using a boost solenoid from the integrated unit on the turbo to Evap solenoid under the manifold |

Looks very clean and nicely done. We have similar looking setups ; manifold and downpipe wrapped with titanium wrap, and same flex fuel kit
When do you hit full boost with that turbo so far on 98? Aren't you worried with running 14psi with this stock motor and CR?

I haven't look at a dyno sheet yet just have had chats to the tuner, he said it was around the 4-4.2k rpm range. I think the 6258 is around 3.8k.
I'm not to worried I have faith in the tuner. I'll be looking to rebuild the bottom end over the next 6-12 months. |

Tuning is complete.
This as much power as I wanted to put through the engine with stock internals. I am very happy with the kit and tune. I'll write up a review in a couple of weeks after I put some km's into it |

My Borg Warner Treadstone turbo build
my end goal will be a t56 or something of that nature along with a custom rear axel( I'm not launching the car from standstill), but it actually drives really smooth

Did you pull the coolant from the throttle body line or the block? What about oil lines?
