I personally use spray 9 on all my diffucult to remove stains. Works like a charm.

Sad to report that the Clay treatment did not remove the Yellow Spots of Doom. Did not even touch them. Folded the clay for a couple minutes until it was nice and sticky, sprayed on the detailer, and clayed the area. Made sure to keep the surface lubed while claying. Used light-to-medium pressure and it just rolled right over the dots doing nothing to them even after a few passes.

My bumper is clean and silky smooth though! At this point, I'm slightly worried that it's permanent damage if clay isn't hitting it.

The Finish Kare Decon system that @CU2MIKE mentions seems like the next logical step, but a bit hardcore for a new car with fresh paint. Is something like the Decon system really going to be necessary?

@Pbrown, is this the product you are talking about?

Try IronX. It looks to me like little rust spots from the contaminants.

Have you tried steel wool and a blowtorch yet?

If not, good. Because you shouldn't.

I'd imagine worst case scenario that something mildly abrasive would take them out.

Did it sit out in the sun for any time? Seriously, that fixed mine.

Took it out of the garage about an hour ago to give it a shot. Backed it in to the driveway even, so the sun is shining directly on the bumper.

I let mine sit out while I was at work. When I went to lunch the spot was gone.

This is going to sound ridiculous, but the "leave it out in the sun" trick actually worked!

The smaller dots are completely gone, and the larger ones are reduced and/or faded. I will have the car out tomorrow as well, so hopefully the remainder of the dots will fade out too.

Weirdest stain I've ever encountered.

I'm telling you, when my detailer told me to do it I thought he was crazy.

Great to hear that the sun can get rid of it but what the hell is it? Mine sits out at work all day...not sure about direct sun on the front bumper...just checked in the garage and they are still there. Tomorrow I rent a crane and hang my car from the tow hook.

I'm convinced it's either dust fallout, or stains left behind by some kind of bug. Whatever it is, thoroughly clean the area as best you can and see what the sun can do.

I've found threads while Google searching that also mention regular washing, sun, and time will fade them out. Most threads ID it as a bug stain.
