Drove home on a 1/4" of ice, conti extreme winter contacts did very well. Only problem was getting up one steep hill from a stop, had to turn off traction control and get myself some momentum.

using the stock tires is bad, took me 1 1/23 hours to get home, usually only takes 10 mins. Got stuck 4 times, times like this makes me miss my evo.

The Blizzak LM60's did suprisingly well. There were SUV's that couldn't get up my street and the BRZ took it without a hitch.
It was still squirrely starting up but that's in first. I could start in second and get by easier. I'm done for the day though, the roads are treacherous - time to wait out the storm. |

i have to say i took a chance and drove my car from long island to the bronx last night around 12 am. streets werent plowed, highways were not plowed and my little frs breezed right thru everything. Racerom Traction control, stock tires. People were getting stuck going up hill(if anybody knows the big hill on community drive), stuck on the highway and im sure they were cursing me out when my little car was just passing them by like it was nothing. There were some moments where the car felt like it wanted to go sideways but with the racerom traction control it was so easy to correct myself that there were no real scary moments. With some really good all season tires this car should not really be an issue in the snow.
