More importantly...I have the lightweight pulley, Airaid intake, shifter bushing, and headerback exhaust installed and they didn't say a peep about it. I remember somebody asking about that. There's your answer.

well, they won't say a peep about it for a TSB on the fuel pump. If you motor blows up they might say something about them.

True that. If something that serious happens, you better believe I will be quick to work changing back to stock.

True but is the warehouse in Japan? Two weeks to ship? That's crazy. And that's not the dealer's fault, I'm just surprised. I can't imagine there being a backorder situation already, with so few cases coming in thus far.

There are people on here that showed up to the dealer and got the pump changed out right then and there.

I have nothing but good things to say about Byers Toyota/Scion in Delaware Ohio. They actually called me and asked about the CEL/ idle issue. When I told them I did not have that issue they told me to made sure if it happens to bring the car in right away. A couple days later my FRS started doing the cricket chirp. I called the service manager and told him about it. Without even looking at the car he ordered the parts and they called me today to tell me the parts are in and I can come in anytime for the work. Only took them about a week to get the parts.

I have been having the chirp constant since 500 miles. Does not go away at all. Starts right away too. I already went to dealer. They listened to it and ordered a new fuel pump. I will let you know if the chirp comes back after new fuel pump installed.

the correct orientation of plunger stopper in the HPFP is something that took place in the manufacturing of the HPFP, not something with the way it's installed.

Don't know if anyone noticed this, but in the northern states, where ambient temps are getting colder, I rarely hear it anymore. Even after driving ~2 hours doing very sprinted driving here and there along with normal highway engine speed, I didn't hear the chirp.

I told my dealer to check into the fuel pump issue while I was having them order replacement DRLs for condensation build up.

I have noticed this. It's FINALLY cooling off out here in SoCal....a little bit. The cooler it gets the less my pump makes noise.

Mine chirps, maybe not as obnoxiously, but definitely chirps.

Toyota and Subaru have not released a "new" revised fuel pump. The TSB calls for the exact same part # pump as before that was causing the chirp in the first place.
As I said in the other thread, just because it is the same part # does not mean it isn't redesigned. And just because a few (2-3) members have reported the crickets returning (also those who got it done within a day of the TSB being released, and I doubt the new part had made it into the system yet) does not mean that a revised pump hasn't been released.

You're rushing to judgement over too little information. Relax.
