That has the potential to be very embarrassing...

Why would dressing up as the opposite sex be fun? Whatever. As for drag racing, nothing wrong with that as long as you're racing something with similar power as you said.

And if you're friends are into drag racing then, IMHO, you don't always have to follow what your friends do, find yourself a new set of friends who can show you what cars like these are designed for, or you should have gotten a car built for drag (ie American Muscle).

Good luck trying to fix your "issue".
Problem is people like you are the "issue." Everytime someone posts a thread about an automatic some asshole with a manual gets their g-string so far up their ass that they have to say something about how big their d*ck is or how much better a manual is than an auto which has NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT IS BEING ASKED!

Same thing goes to Wolfking with that "sport" an automatic comment. Did you base your comment based on the OP question or did you just see DRAG AND AUTOMATIC?

I'll try to tune the computer. If you take a look, you can change the "rev limite". This might just work.

I have to say that this is a prime example of one of the things that bothers me about comtemporary cars. Older cars you could do whatever you wanted without having to wonder, "Do i need to unplug my car and plug it back in like a modem?" /ClosedMindedRant

Yes, I'm aware and hell no, they are not the same, which is why the majority has chosen the actual manual. I've driven both. My FRS test drive was in an auto and I did not care for it! In reference to which is better, it depends on driver's preference.

I don't think you are going to be able to change the stall speed of the torque converter through a tune. The transmission isn't a "semi automatic" because it still has a torque converter in front of it. The converter is a lockup converter, but still a converter. You really wouldn't want to lock up the converter anyway as you would lose the torque multiplication that the converter supplies. This is what lets an automatic get away with less gear in the rearend, but still achieve decent acceleration. You would have to change it out to a higher stall speed converter, and I don't think anyone is making one yet.

So you like playing with sticks... no big deal. Thats all you had to say before. If you like "rowing your own gears" then thats fine.

Didnt have to diss the people with autos.

Some people dont like "rowing their own gears." Doesnt mean they are lazy. Just means they find more pleasure out of others "rowing" for them.

You see what Im getting at?

2.5 RPMs?!?

A: how are you getting such an accurate reading of RPM's

B: How on Earth can a motor maintain idle at such a low rate of rotation?

You've misunderstood my intent! My aim was point out the fact I've driven both transmission configurations and out of the two I still prefer a traditional manual. The auto's compression breaking throws me off tempo. (I'm a motorcyclist...there's a difference) Now you perhaps see my perspective.

There was no disrespect to the auto pilots. Shall we end "our" private war then?
