I actually drilled a hole in the cubby and ran the the wire into the center console power outlet so I could use the provided 2 amp cigarette lighter adapter.

This sounds good. If you have time to kill, would you be willing to share a photo?

is sturdy, flexible, sleek not clunky, and suction mount is a win. no need for an adjustable bracket to hold a variety of phones, just stick a thin magnetic plate provided in the package on back of your device.

have a vent mount in my dd and my phone gets heated up during the winter when i turn up the heat.. should prob buy one of these again for that

is cheap-ish? can prob find one for super cheap on ebay

This is my favorite for ease of use but if you need something sturdier, say, for track camera duty, Ram Mount suction cup mounts are the way I go. Still leaves something to be desired compared to a solid rollbar mount, but I don't have a rollbar!

Mounted an aluminum GoPro hotshoe to the dash. Gopro ball mount clicks into it, and a GoPro to phone adaptor attaches to the ball mount. https://imgur.com/a/Y8HLKR2

When the removable part is off it’s far more discrete than a pop socket.

I’ve done mag mounts in the past and love them but just got an iPhone 11 and don’t plan to use a case and want to go wireless. I am thinking about this mount:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TM46BZ8..._i1ZiEb1K79GP5

It’s a clamping mount which kind of blows but it has a proxy sensor and automatically opens and closes so it should still be a one handed operation.
