Help decide on winter tire for 16"

Hey, can someone help me choose my tires for winter? I know many threads has been opened, but I wanted one for my personal needs! If you don't want to help, kindly asking you to ignore the topic

I drive mostly in the city, barely on highway. I won't be using my car for long distances. I haven't slammed or done major modifications to the car. I plan to keep the car for long Rust proofed!

I plan to get 16" steel wheels (steelies). The reason is because snow tends to get caught under the fender lol. So I want to have clearance . I will also go narrower slightly.
So I guess I will look for 205/55/16 tires. But which one?

My budget is undecided, cheap or expensive.. I want safety since I live in Canada and the weather gets pretty bad.

XI3s or Sottozeros if you want a performance winter tire that isn't as squidgy on pavement.

I'd recommend the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 (non-studded) or Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8 (studded).

These are the best winter tires money can buy. I got my 205/55-16 R2s for $890 installed and balanced (in Ottawa) FYI.

XI3s are on special I was thinking of reading more about them . I don't look performance in winter. I look safety only xD!! Where I live in Canada, I can get the worst winters ever.

Thanks guys, any more recommendations ?
