Intercooler water spray
If one would eliminate headlight washers (in EU we have them) and re-route windshield washers in front of a supercharger's intercooler, is it possible to remove simultaneous wipers activation so that they don't move when I spray?

Not interested in buying kits because it 's not so difficult and I already have nozzles, just want the wipers to not activate so I can spray with the right hand while on drive wheel
Does this kit' s instruction say something about it, or does it use a new switch to activate? |

Kit taps into washer tank, and uses it’s own pump, windshield washing is still retained. has 8 myst nozzles hoses etc, they recommend 5 on intercooler and 3 on radiotor, or could do 4 cooler, and 2 rad 2 oil cooler. uses a separate controller to automatically spray at preset PSI similar to an on/off WMI switch. Like 250$. I almost got it but my WMI is keeping intake temps at ambient easily.

Ah ok, well that's cool but i'm still more interested in a DIY solution relocating windshield washer and using the right level, if someone has an idea on how to remove the wipers activating when spraying.....

How many CC are you planning on spraying per nozzle and how many nozzles? Also the washer fluid pump is very low psi it will not myst and atomize the spray very well greatly limiting its effectiveness. I believe it is 30psi most WMI kits use a 200psi pump for reference.
Ideally you would want 2-3 25cc nozzles, with a high pressure pump, on a frequent spray at idle, stop and go, and at high load/boost at lower speeds like a 0-60. At 60+ air should be enough to cool. I could see this being a good solution for autox and city driving. But manually spraying it as frequently as you would need to be effective would get very tedious unless you could set a 10second continues spray timer some how. |

I would just use 2 nozzles, from Impreza STI that uses waterspray
i'm not searching for extreme performance, nor superb cooling effect... just think it's cool to have it and even if it doesn't atomize perfectly, it 's handy and can help in certain situation I was maybe thinking to add an on/off switch that intercept the wiper blades command: switch off = wipers don t work, just the spray pump switch on= wipers work as per stock, but obviously without windshield washer, because it is then in front of the intercooler any help on which cable would I need to cut to do this? |

I’m not sure would have to look at a wire diagram. Maybe someone else will chime in who knows but seems like most of the knowledge experts that could probably help have left the forums.
You could peice your own kit together. Tap the bottom of your washer resevoir tank buy a windshield washer pump for 25$ get some tubing a T split and L elbow to run your two nozzles. And then buy some on/off switch or push button and then wire it in. That would only cost about 50$ And not require messing with your windshield wipers. Seems easy enough. I think integrating it into the stock washer spray switch would be more challenging. To figure out. |

You could also pit in a switch to isolate water spray when bot needed even if throttle and boost conditions active |

Thanks steve, i thought about it, but i still would prefer to have it manually. Automated control is kinda tricky, since it can't read on my mind :P or better, i'm sure it can work good, but I really don't want it to be active all over the place to get maximum performance like on track on summer
Just want to use the windshield wiper lever Anyway HKS v2 Sc kit doesn't touch the solenoid, everything is still there in my car Do you have an idea which cable would I need to cut and put a switch on, to disable wiper blades? as I said before i'd like to have a switch that disable them, so only the water spray works, and when I press the switch the blades can come on again as always |

I made a separate switch to control the windshield washer pump directly and disconnected the wire from the windshield wiper control (now the windshield is only getting sprayed when I hit that switch). (After hopelessly trying to disable the wipers somehow).
Since I only use it for racing I also made a manual switch that either directs the water flow to the intercooler or the windshield. |

CPC control would be the best option. Got the BT EVI? Then you could use that to control the spray manually or have it so that it does it based on temps etc. Did something similar with WMI on a Sprintex setup.
Otherwise I would tap into the headlight washers and find a way to deactivate the windscreen pump and wipers.
