Funny the guy should call the twins a mid life crisis car. The youngest Z owner (350 or 370) I know personally is 39 years old. Most others are in their late 50's and early 60's. I looked at the 350's when they first came out, and I thought it was cool for $26k, but being a nearly broke college student it wasn't going to happen. It's got to suck knowing you had a viable competitor to a successful product in the pipeline but decided to kill it in favor of a CUV that makes a Pontiac Aztek look handsome.

I have met and talk to several 370Z owners under the age of 30. However, the number of people who I speak with on a daily basis who have 370Z's is far higher. Most (not all) of the under 30 crowd that owns the 370Z have had their parents buy them the car (usually the ones under 22).

Kids around here tend to ask for full sized trucks. Nothing wrong with older folks having fun cars. I only hope I'm not stuck with some bland sofa on wheels when I get to that age. It just struck me as funny that Mr. Palmer decided to call out the twins as mid life crisis cars when, at least in my area, the Z is kind of seen as a budget Vette alternative in my area.

Yeah, I can't count how many people call to order our 370Z supercharger and they always ask if it will keep up with the Corvette after install

I may be biased here (aren't we all) but how in the world are you going to say that the RSX was "a joke" ?

This coming from a former owner of a 75 280z and a 78 280Z
Nissan should just shut up and remake the 240Z the exact same way it was made 40 years ago. Just update the electrics, engine (straight 6) , suspension. Leave the hood, hatch, doors, and body the exact same. I loved the round lights.
So much character.
350/370 looks like doo doo.

If you've driven an Integra side by side, the difference is obvious and painful. To me, it drove like shit even compared to an older Accord. It was clear Honda just stopped caring at that point and their priorities shifted toward selling consumer mass market fluff rather than being seriously performance oriented. Everything it did was worse than the previous gen and pretty much all its competitors. Unless you like the looks better which is something else.

So based on my experience w/ the plethora of better cars of similar class/price before, during, and after, the RSX was/is a joke. It was basically Honda fooling people into thinking they were getting the next gen Integra when it was nothing of the sort in any remote corner of the imagination.

Not trying to derail the thread

@Boxer486 Well I beg to differ with you on that but the b18 series engine, ended up becoming obsolete, is it a great platform to work on still yes. Why would Honda make the Integra more powerful than the RSX? Isn't the next model supposed to be developed better than the old model? To say Honda went downhill is definitely an understatement. Honda and Toyota both stopped pushing out sports cars because they wanted to become more economical. So they stopped the production of the S2000, RSX, and NSX all legendary cars. So instead of investing on sports cars they invested on more economical car. Soon then Honda had released their Civic SI and Toyota giving Scion (a newly developing company) the FR-S and WHAT A COMEBACK both companies from the big 3 came out with. So to say Honda went downhill is truly an understatement. The Celica and MR-S didn't too well... But look what Toyota gave us after a long wait.

Now we all just wait to see Nissans next move... They've already given us the Sentra, the 370Z, and the GTR.

That's all there is Guns and Butter!
