I'm scared to know the price. Typically OEM seats cost a ton

I know. Not to mention the fact that they will have airbags in them. I may never be able to justify buying them.

I'm sure a lot of people will end up selling them used. Much cheaper this way

Yeah, that's what I would hope for. The problem is, the type of people who would replace them with bucket seats would never buy a Limited as it is a waste of money and adds weight. So it's probably pretty unlikely.

I will confirm that the BRZ headlight assy will work in the FRS. The plug harness will be different but can be rewired to work. I Just installed JDM Toyota 86 headlights on my FRS and the plug is identical to the BRZ. All I had to do is re-use (transfer) the plug from my FRS to the new light assembly and it plugged right in.

It's already been done I believe. There is a thread here somewhere with a photo of a BRZ with a FRS front end as part of a mod. Just don't have time to search.

In general though, its the same bones underneath, the bumper (really just the bumper cover) is cosmetic.

Each part of the seat is sold separately, They show a Base and High level so im safe to assume the High is the premium.

Just for the drivers seat back cover is about 500.00 bucks , so close to 2k and this is just the material but if the foam is a different shape then that needs to be changed as well adding onto the cost.

I will research if further if there is any real interest.

Thanks

So in another thread, it was stated that the BRZ headlights would run around $1k.

The difference between the two cars is $1,300-1,400.

The other thing that comes to mind is that the price you pay for the car, you have to look at the fact that you are drawing interest on a higher amount when buying the BRZ compared to an FR-S. So, I don't see how it would be cheaper to turn a BRZ into an FR-S, then an FR-S into a BRZ (when all you really want to get is the headlights).

The Dual Climate is only on the Limited BRZ and not on the Premium from what I gather as well.

How much is it for a painted front bumper of an FR-S to put on the BRZ?

  • Will the lamp physically fit with no modifications and look and perform correctly
  • Will the FR-S plug fit the BRZ headlamp jumper harness
  • If an aftermarket HID kit is used is the BRZ jumper harness required?
  • How will the turn signals be effected, Are the FR-s indicators in the headlamp like the BRZ if not will FR-S owners be happy leaving these inop?

Below is the parts diagram for the BRZ , Lets open up this discussion to hammer out the details.
In the future will you offer to sell the ballast and bulbs with the housing?
