It will poke out about an inch +/-.
Have a look at the various wheels and offset here:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7535

I see that there is at least one guy running that exact setup, but probably not without massaging some camber settings to get it to work. Lots of stuff to look at in that thread. Will keep you busy for a while.

I'll be trying it next Friday. I don't have any aftermarket suspension bolts or anything, just the RCE springs.

Setup 1(preferred):
18x8.5 +45 : 245/40
18x9.5 +45 : 275/35

Setup 2:
18x8.5 +45 : 245/40
18x9.5 +45 : 265/35

Setup 3 (most people on Enkei Raijin thread used this)
18x8.5 +45 : 245/35
18x9.5 +45 : 265/35

Current setup : Stock struts with swift springs 1". Front 0 deg chamber. Rear -2 deg chamber.

Any rubbing issues on setup 1 and 2? TIA

All good.

Edit- see 2point0's response below regarding tire sizing. It will fit, but they are noticeably taller as he kindly points out.

245/40 on an 18" wheel? That's over an inch taller than stock... 245/35 is popular because it's the correct diameter.

There are many online tire calculators out there. For instance...http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Sorry for more inquiry.

What is the widest tire for 18x9.5 +38 square setup no rubbing with stock struts and lower springs (swift)?

Is any chamber correction required?

If yes, what part do I need without going to coils? chamber/crash bolts?

Thanks

18x9.5 +38 245/35 will it rub my front strut?

I'm looking to buy a set of custom 2pc wheels and I'm torn between 3 offsets. I plan to run a 18x9.5 square setup with 225/40 tire on it. I plan to lower it quite a bit where a quarter of the tire is tuck. Which one of these offsets would be the absolute best fitment.

18x9.5 +25 (104mm / 4.09" lip)
18x9.5 +27 (102mm / 4.01" lip)
18x9.5 +30 (99mm / 3.90" lip)

Because this is a custom 2 piece wheel, each mm I go lower means I gain more lip. At +25 offset currently I have 104mm (4.09"). Also I plan to run Super Low Disk all around (25mm back pad) vs Normal disk up front (38mm back pad) since Wilwood brakes only stick out 18mm from the surface of the rotor hat I should be able to fit Super Low Disk up front to gain maximum lip on the wheel. What do you guys think?

I'm new to dealing with "offset". Hopefully someone can answer my questions.

Wheels: 18x8 +45.
Car is lowered on Eibach Sportlines (1.4").

What do I need for perfect flushness?
Will the new wheels be close to flush without the use of any spacers?
If I need spacers, what size exactly do I need for front and rear?

Thanks for all of your help. I feel like I've figured it out but I want to be safe and ask someone who actually knows for sure.

need 15mm spacer front and 25mm spacer rear to be near "flush".

Not ideal fitments on BRZ for flush, but good for track (if light weight) and use thick tires.

Go with 18x9.5 +27 .. use 225/40 but you can do 245/35 tires on the rear.

So I know that an 18x9.5 +32 front and 18x9.5 +25 rear will fit, but how well will it work with a 265/35/18 tire and a 1-inch drop? Am I going to rub?

First of all thanks to the experience ones to contribute this thread

My question is:
Will front 18x8.5" +45 cause any rubbing during turning, especially full turn? I will keep the overall rim+tyre diameter as close as possible to the stock and no modification on height, camber and etc..

Thanks
