With me it only happened on initial throttle in, right at the top. While driving, same thing, only upon initial throttle in. It's never happened while revving it out and the engine seems just as strong.

Not very loud while driving. Sounds almost like the body is cracking under load, but again, not very loud. If you open the hood and listen to it while parked it sounds like a very loud firecracker. Very distinct.

My car seems to run perfectly fine - no performance symptoms other then the sound described. Dealer said it's fine for daily driving until the parts arrive and gave me the car back. I still drive it just as spiritedly as I always have and so far no issues. No warning lights either.

I'll try to get one this weekend, but the video in the first post by the OP is exactly what I'm experiencing. Parts finally came in. Gonna try to get the new seals installed next week.

I talked to a buddy of mine that works for Toyota. He said it's about 3.5 hours of labor.

Ok, got my car back a few days ago. Dealer didn't really go into details and I didn't have time to bs around so picked up the car and left. They had already had it for over a week... Here's a breakdown of what they replaced for future reference:

My DI seals are toast again at 42xxx and dealership is denying coverage due to the track use of the vehicle.
