Why is it the 2017 data isn't already on the tablet? Seems kind of stupid you have to email to get them.

You have to use the search function and then "buy" the tunes for free.

As an example I've linked the K00C page

https://www.openflashtablet.com/shop...-us-6mt-v4-03/

If you want to look for an other calid use "za1j" and then your callId in the searchbar

How can you expect a manual transmission car to have a rev limiter for downshifts? The only way would be to remove mechanical linkages.

You cant, but if you read the previous replies, that's what's inferred. The rev limiter wont save your engine on a mechanical overrev....like grabbing 2nd when you wanted 4th.

I'm sitting in the sonic drive thru line with the windows down. I think a fan in my engine just kicked on loud. Sounds like the same thing that happens when you are using AC I'm running stage 2+ 4.03. You guys ever have that happen?

Hi all,
A little bit off topic here but to do with open flash tunes.
I have just flashed the stg 1 tune and noticed what appears to be quite loud injector noise around 4k rpm at mild to full throttle applications . I dont see any IAM or knock corrections or very little if at all. Has any one else noticed this? Is it in fact inject noise to do with the new maps?
Thanks for any help. Cheers
Geoff.

IIRC many had reported of more noises in that area after flashing tune. Should have to do with more aggressive timings to reduce torque dip. Normal, ignore.

Sods like the vvt induction resonace due to agressive vvt tikng to redice torque dip. Take 10 degrees out of the exhaust cam timing in the last ad rpm range should stop it but you might get some torque dip back

Thx guys. Along way off modify maps, just learning to crawl here. Have been trolling through dozens of post and rcall some saying UEL headers with stg2 tune will improve dip and eliminate noise ??? cheers
