I did at Subaru South Boulevard in Pineville, NC. They are only allotted 3 for the year. O.o

I also pre-ordered from Johnson Subaru in Cary last month. They are now completely booked on pre-orders. I'm #3 of 7. Live in Raleigh though

We'll have to plan a meet at the monthly Cars & Coffee one weekend (Briar Creek)

I'm #7 of 7 so it may be a while before I get mine. I'm also moving out of state for work in June, so I may have to come back just to pick-up my car. If your BRZ comes well in advance of mine I'd love to see it in person. I've not yet laid eyes on a single on in person.

I don't actually know if I'll have mine by June, but I'll be sure to keep up with posting updates as they become available. I do know there is a demo BRZ that may be around if you let the dealership know you're interested in seeing it in person; granted I have put in that request a couple weeks ago and hadn't heard a word back :x

I spoke with a representative from SOA over two weeks ago to let it be known that I wanted to see one in person. He got in contact with someone from our district to find out when one would be available; when he called back he said it would be around a month. I believe he also contacted Johnson Subaru so I'm trying to be patient and hoping that they'll contact me when one is nearby.

Hmm, I wouldn't question SOA as they've been a great help with providing general information, but depending on who you talked to at SOA you'll hear different things. I know there was a random day a few weeks ago I happened to walk into Performance Subaru in Chapel Hill and they mentioned a demo touring around that I had just missed. I would keep asking dealerships around you to keep you informed on the days the demo will be available rather than talking to someone states away (SOA). My personal preference to cut out the "middle man", but again, if I happen to hear ahead of time anything I'll post up a response (even if I'm out and about as my phone keeps me constantly in touch with internet connectivity).

can i request a ride when you get it lol im right off south tryon st near rivergate. i hope to pick up a frs/brz at the end of this year if available but until then i dont mind drooling over yours

So, I happened to speak with the sales manager at Johnson Subaru today and from what it sounds like they will not be housing a demo in the month of May; probably after the national release meeting in Louisiana is when it'll be back around.

If I manage to receive my car before then I'll make sure to drop a note; still expecting June though.

That's unfortunate. They didn't happen to convey anything else to you about their allocations, did they?

I spoke briefly today with SOA before hearing back from the dealership and no, there is no news available from either source. Back to waiting in the unknown! I'll pass along the multitude of "sorry"s I received though... perhaps that might help?!
