I am committing to the nations first EZ30R swap in a Subaru BRZ for road race competition in the USA. I have yet to see any 86's in the US run an EZ30/36 for hill climb, road racing, drag racing, auto x or any racing for that matter.

Quick update.... pretty cold here still in canada so not much work done but I am planning for spring summer2024.

. Bought a low mileage EZ30 this engine will replace the cheap high mileage one I got in there now the goal was to get the concept come to live 2023 which I got it started and idling I will rebuild the old one with time and use it to mockup the supercharger mount
.Next is mod the exhaust header to add clearance its too low right now.. should not take much time.
-Build a radiator shroud to direct air in the rad ....the temps from testing get very hot so will have to make sure temps are in check dont want more then 100 degree celcius
-I found a good tuner that will be remote road tune it so I can finally drive it this spring then finish on dyno.
-bluetooth adapter with digital dash

Should be able to complete these this year

for 2025..-After tuned properly and all bugs removed will start the design of the Roots type Supercharger with water meth injection utilising my previous experience with superchargers

Thanks for the update! What size / brand radiator are you running for the EZ30? I see a few out there with two outlets on top but are ~$650. Worth it? Radiator from KOBE

I have also considered the forced induction route with a Rotrex super charger unit. Considering fabbing up my own mounting brackets to accommodate the super charger. For now its a factory JDM EZ30R on E85.

The sub frame can be notched to fit the custom EZ headers over top. There is a video on youtube with a guy notching the subframe for the over pipe section.

Im using the OEM 2009 outback 3.0 radiator.. fits well and I think I can make the temps work
