Long time no update had time to get back to the project and I got a lot done... Im at a point were I can try to start the car as I hard wired the fuel pump to a relay on a switch and bypassing the stock relay.

But the problem is I can get the car to start I have a feeling my connection even tho I hear the fuel pump dont think fuel is making its way to the two lines to my engine.

Can anybody with experience with the oem fuel pump chime in to help me... I got the green wire for positive and grey wire to ground from the fuel pump.. what am I missing I know the fuel system on these cars are special but isnt it just 1 fuel pump and regulator? really want to get her started and start tuning

**EDIT** fuel is making its way into rails ... currently troubleshooting with ECU master support

Green is positive. Grey is ground like you said. Red and violet are for the fuel level gauge.

Relay should have a power wire from the battery to receive power, something that is a switchable power to turn the relay on and off to close the circuit, a wire powering the fuel pump going to the OEM green wire, and a ground wire.

Sounds like you have fuel. You should hear the fuel pump when the key is in the on position and not just when the car is started. What are you using for a trigger wire?

Does the engine sound dry or does it sound wet like is it just turning over and could be missing spark or fuel, or is it getting some fuel with ignition and burbling trying to start, but maybe some timing, injector duration or fuel pressure is off?

Little confused. Accelerator pedal is at 0% and the throttle position sensor typically reads like 20%, so are you saying it reads zero at idle, but does it respond to accelerator pedal inputs, or neither?

The DBW was not setup correctly and cranking fuel to low and VE down low to high.

I am pleased to annonce the car has officialy started and maintained an idle this has been a long project to get to this and ecumaster has been amazing ...I now officially have a Ecumaster Black EZ30 GenII starter tune for anybody that wants to do this swap and use the ECUMASTER black.

I documented eveything and will be putting all this in a PDF file with all my notes every sensor..everything to this swap in a BRZ...

Pretty cool swap. Any special reason for going the EZ30 route or just for fun? Any idea the weight difference from the FA20?

many reasons actually

1. easy install subaru engine fits right in the oem frame and engine mounts
2. H6 sounds is hard to beat
3. budget the EZ30 is still a affordable engine cause not a lot of people give it the attention to its true potential
4. bolt pattern and ease of keeping oem tranny , clutch, flywheel
5. weigh is 50 pounds more thand fa20 no difference in how the car handles and behavior from oem
6. more low end torque and more power accross the whole rpm band

but If im not satisfied with power I can either add a low boost turbo max 8 psi or so or go with a 4.0 lexus V8 engine that was my next choice I can reuse the ecumaster ECU etc.. not much invested in this build so far it was worth the try

Any reason you didn't use a EZ36?

the 3.6 thinner walls was not recommended if I wanted to low boost it.. plus the sound for some reason the 3.6 does not sound as good. also cheaper to find not a huge difference in power.
