I coated it with exhaust paint to make it hopefully last a bit longer.

I used the J2 frontpipe and the Greddy Evo3 for my 460whp e85 setup.
Yeah piping is piping i agree, is it 2.5" or 2.75

i actually thought about doing it, and i might do it now.

Great numbers

ps: did you ever have a rattle noise ? on a cold start yesterday i heard some steel rattling or hitting something for about 5 seconds.

The J2 pipe is 2.75". Thought about doing what? Never had any rattling noises.

Coating it to prevent rusting, but because i plan on taking it off some time soon i don't think its worth it.

maybe i just have to recheck/re torque everything.

do you think its bad that I'm running a 2.5 catback with a 2.75 front pipe ?

There is nothing wrong with running a larger front pipe. My exhaust setup is a mishmash of 4 different brands and 3 different diameter piping:

- Full Blown turbo header
- Full Blown 3" downpipe
- Motiv 2.5" Overpipe
- J2 2.75" frontpipe
- Greddy Evo3 catback 2.75"

And my car performs beautifully.

If you're getting rid of your J2, are you going to sell it?

Sounds to me like you have a leak in that video. If you used the gaskets that came with it, my one from the overpipe blew out in about an hour or so.

Went under the car, put my hand close to the exhaust and you can feel and hear the exhaust escaping through the joints.

When connected properly it isn't that loud.

My car is louder now with a straight manifold back I guess?

The exhaust leak isn't from the over to front pipe connection but it's from the front to midpipe as the flange on the buddy club dislikes anything other than a stock front pipe or a similar design

I need to check mine also. I bought it for when I go FI, so I don't have to worry about any type of restrictions in the exhaust. It is a bit too loud for my taste atm though.

Judging by the cars you own, I don't think it would hurt for you to give away that pipe to a pre-med college student.. *cough*

My review: J2 is a shitty made pipe but it is cheap, so you get what you pay for and it does the job. Mine broke at the exhaust hanger too, just a warning to those thinking about buying, and it is beginning to rust so I would reccomend powder coating. It fit just fine though, and with a turbo works well and sounds good. Thin walls though and sounded really raspy and droney NA, and that's with a quiet exhaust so purchase only if boosted. Cost 20$ to reweld a hanger but be aware it is cheap and can break easily. Also going fully catless is very smelly and pretty annoying to those that have never done it. But for 107$ shipped it works so I'm happy.

Thanks for the review and for not being afraid to share your experience. These types of reviews help those that are having trouble deciding which company to go with when buying "metal tubes".
